CASE 6

Severe Crowding - Adult

This patient found himself, one day, facing an important decision. Following a dental trauma, a lower incisor had to be extracted, leaving a particularly large space in the mandibular arch.

Two options were possible: replacing the missing tooth, or using this situation as an opportunity to undertake a comprehensive orthodontic treatment, which had already been proposed to him for several years. The objective was to realign the teeth, redistribute the spaces harmoniously, and restore a more balanced occlusion.

Although this event was obviously not desired, it ultimately led the patient to consider this treatment no longer as a simple possibility, but as a real necessity.

The case was complex and required excellent cooperation. Thanks to the patient’s remarkable commitment, the treatment was carried out in two phases: a first phase of approximately 12 months, with 52 aligners, followed by a finishing phase of 6 months, with 26 additional aligners.

The final result shows how adult orthodontics can transform a difficult situation into a functional, aesthetic, and long-lasting solution. Beyond tooth alignment, this treatment made it possible to recreate an overall harmony of the smile and restore a true aesthetic and functional balance.
