Replacement of Existing
Ceramic Veneers

This patient had already undergone treatment with ceramic veneers in another clinic, but remained disappointed with the final aesthetic result. Although the restorations were biologically well integrated and clinically acceptable, they did not reflect what the patient was looking for.

The smile appeared too flat, too uniform, insufficiently characterized and, above all, lacking brightness. The greyish appearance was most likely related to a ceramic material and optical strategy that were not fully adapted to the specific clinical situation.

In this type of case, the objective is not simply to “redo” the veneers, but to understand precisely why the first result did not meet the patient’s expectations. We therefore restarted from the aesthetic project, carefully analyzing tooth shape, proportions, surface texture, brightness, translucency and the overall balance of the smile.

Particular attention was given to the central incisors, restoring their natural predominance and giving the smile more strength, expression and personality. The new veneers were customized to create a brighter, more dynamic and more natural result, avoiding the flat and grey effect of the previous work.



This case illustrates the importance of a truly tailor-made approach. Listening to the patient is essential, but so is guiding them toward the right choices in technical aspects of the work, especially when the goal is to correct a previous treatment and avoid repeating the same mistakes.
